Seafood Deliveries

Due to covid-19, we switched to curbside pickup or delivery services where possible for groceries. Fortunately many commercial companies in Toronto have changed to service residential customers without additional delivery costs. One of these is Daily Seafood.

Our first delivery was simply the minimum amount required ($120). The clams and salmon in that first delivery was so fresh that we put in another order. To limit contamination, we made it a BIG one.

Day after I emailed my order, I got a text finalizing the amount to etransfer. A couple of hours later, their van arrived.
With social distancing, we stayed inside while the driver dropped off our box.
Neil mussel’d it into the kitchen.
Seafood box opening.
I had requested filleting, and packaging the heads and bones separately (no additional charge). 3.4 lbs of bones.
4.7 lbs of heads.
23 lbs of fillets.
Each salmon gives us 3 meals.
Repackaged for the freezer. 4 salmon (31 lbs), cod, that’s half the mussels we ordered (we’re eating the other half for lunch). Not shown are the bags of shrimp and a block of tuna sashimi.
Ready for the freezer!
