Nolan’s finished reading The Ranger’s Apprentice series over the summer and is now acting it out 🙂
Branch, elastic bands, stir stick from an experiment kit, suction cup that fell off something.
Nolan’s Day 2017 – done in 2018
Every year, around their birthday, LL takes the birthday child out of school, and spends the day with the birthday child. Nolan didn’t get his day in 2017 so we did it today. He’s collecting his 2018 day later this year.
First, he finds a toonie in the parking meters on the way to the subway (he checks these extremely diligently) to start out with our usual visit to BMV. They didn’t have any Calvin and Hobbes comics so we left empty-handed.
We did see how they painted the lines on the crosswalk.
We actually hit Metro for a small carton of milk as requested by Nolan but they were out. so he requested sushi and a pack of blueberries.
Then a 20 minute walk to the Billy Bishop Airport and a short ride on the ferry over.
The operator let him bring the ramp down after arriving.
Then we took the complimentary airport shuttle to Union Station to finish the day with Nolan making Lentil Soup for dinner.
Great way to spend a day off school!
