Month: October 2017
The kids had a picnic
It started out like this:
And became this:
One chair became two:
Two became three:
Picnic on the pergola roof! Popcorn, cookies, water.
I like the boards they put down so the chair legs would not go through the trellis 🙂
Lara’s Banana Pancakes for Breakfast
Measure out ingredients.
Fold them together.
Cook them.
Voila, breakfast is ready!
They were scrumptious! Lara’s changes to the recipe were both healthy and tasty! Next time we have to quadruple the recipe!
Double rainbow!
Fusion Lunch: Mexican Salsa and Southern Cornbread
Kids insisted on not adding any salt or sugar at all to both of these and for once I actually listened. Probably had to do with the fresh ingredients but it was extremely tasty!
We also had guacamole (made from scratch) and no salt tortilla chips (store bought).
Mom’s Christmas present – fixed
Using a hot glue gun by herself! Zero burns 🙂
Felix’s Banana Bread
First we read the recipe and get all the ingredients.
Measure wet and dry ingredients in separate bowls; then combine the two.
Gently fold.
Pour into greased baking dish.
Lick the spoon – a must!
Mama puts it in the oven. Felix says “Let’s clean up!”. He sets such a good example …. for me! 😛
And put away everything.
The final product …
Demolished by the next morning 🙂
Kids reorganize their bedroom
Saturday activity. Everyone had a hard time tripping over bedding to get to the desk in the far back corner and this is the solution the kids came up with.
This is what it looked like before – not shown is Felix’s bed crammed between Nolan and Lara’s, which made it impossible to get to the desk without tripping on bedding.
Ryan’s Pumpkin
Visiting Lianne and Ryan in Cobden… checking on the giant pumpkin.
