Team Salad

Started in the morning by Lara with chickpeas, fried mushrooms, fried tofu, grapes (she chopped the mushrooms and cut the grapes in half). Added to by Nolan with his chopped apples. LL added chopped cucumber, roasted garlic, minced fresh garlic, pepper, paprika, chopped pineapple, green onions, juice of two lemons, and olive oil. Neil added avocado chunks (not shown).

Felix made Banana Whole Wheat pancakes!

Recipe:

  1. Whisk dry ingredients:
    2 C whole wheat flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
  2. Blend wet ingredients to make about 2 1/2 C of liquid to form thick batter:
    bananas
    2 eggs
    spash of vinegar
    milk
  3. Fold wet and dry together. Do not over mix. Lumps are OK.
  4. Cook on frying pan with melted butter; serve with applesauce and frozen fruit.

Kids are 6, 8, and 9 – doubled the recipe, and they demolished everything except 5 small pancakes.
